Welcome to the Communications Workers of America Local 1108 new interactive website. Local 1108 is a 1,700 member union made up of Central Office Techs, Field Techs, Clerical, Miscellaneous titles, Operators and TRG members in the telecommunication industry. We keep Suffolk County connected, maintaining phone, internet, and video services. We also provide service to the Verizon customers needing assistance in Manhattan, Suffolk and Westchester counties for Directory assistance and completing calls, as well as working to ensure that our employers have the most trained and skilled workforce to support our industry. We are united in our mission to promote and advocate for safe working conditions, livable wages, health benefits, retirement security and dignity and respect for all workers in the telecommunications industry. Dependent Care Reimbursement Fund

Effective immediately the Verizon/CWA Dependent Care Reimbursement Fund has been suspended until further notice. There will be no payout for the month of March. Please do not send your forms into E. 38th Street for reimbursement, keep your monthly reimbursement forms until notified otherwise. If you need more info or have any other questions, please contact Beth Boland at the union office at (631) 654-1108.
