Local 1108 has instituted a new and modern communication method.  Collecting personal emails from every member in the union, we are sending out an email called Communicate 1108.  This is sent out every other week, and keeps the members informed about what’s going on within the local union. Announcements on job actions, political action, work rule changes, and charity work are reported well as reports on bargaining, arbitration victories and member interest stories.  Communicate 1108 keeps everyone informed, and is quickly becoming an effective and consistent way that members can find out what the union is working on, and most importantly, how they can help their union succeed and get the word out quickly. Using colorful text and fonts, with pictures and graphics, this online newsletter appeals to all members.  If you are currently getting Communicate 1108, please forward it onto your fellow members or print it out distribute it to your coworkers.  If you aren’t getting it, please send your personal email address to cwa1108@ucomm.org with your name, job title and work location.
